Our delightfully good looking and even better dressed male feminists.
What is Feminism? What do you really mean by the word feminist? People don’t know what it is, hence its undermined and biggoted. A word called menist has even come up.
“Feminism is the radical notion that women are people.” Isn’t that what most of the population is afraid of. In relaity, it is not offensive and it doesn’t undermine or sham the genders. It is purely the right for equal treatment of both genders.
My favourite Celebrity feminists are as follows. Quite fashionable ones too, I may say.
# Prince Harry :
Henry Charles Albert David, a ginger head(must be a weasly), a prince, a server of justice and equality. Our very own Captain Feminist.
“ This is not just about women, we men need to recognise the part we play too. Real men treat women with dignity and give them the respect they deserve.”
Fashionable Captain, Oh! Captain.
# Mark Ruffalo :
Actor, director, producer and screenwriter with an eye on a better, brighter, cleaner, more hopeful future for all of us. You may have money, you may have power but we have the Hulk.
“My response to the ‘ I am not a feminist’ internet phenomenon….
First of all, it’s clear you don’t know what feminism is. But I’m not going to explain it to you. You can google it. To quote an old friend, “I’m not the feminist babysitter.”
But here is what I think you should know.
You’re insulting every woman who was forcibly restrained in a jail cell with a feeding tube down her throat for your right to vote, less than 100 years ago. You’re degrading every woman who has accessed a rape crisis centre, which wouldn’t exist without the feminist movement. You’re undermining every woman who fought to make marital rape a crime (it was legal until 1993). You’re spitting on the legacy of every woman who fought for women to be allowed to own property (1848); For the abolition of slavery and the rise of the labor unionFor the right to divorce; For women to be allowed to have access to birth control (Comstock laws); For middle and upper class women to be allowed to work outside the home (poor women have always worked outside the home). To make domestic violence a crime in the US (It is very much legal in many parts of the world). To make workplace sexual harassment a crime.
In short, you know not what you speak of. You reap the rewards of these women’s sacrifices every day of your life. When you grin with your cutsey sign about how you’re not a feminist, you ignorantly spit on the sacred struggle of the past 200 years. You bite the hand that has fed you freedom, safety, and a voice.
In short, kiss my ass, you ignorant little jerks.”
Honestly he just could be the hulk of the fashion world too. Damn Mark.
# Joseph Gordon-Levitt :
He’s an actor, a director for a huge collaborative company called hitREDcord. He has many videos of him talking about feminism, he’s done interviews regarding the same, he’s given statements on feminism , more than that he actually believes in the cause.
He’s a feminist alright.
”There were some people that were saying that feminism made sense in the past but it doesn’t anymore because men and women are equal now,” he said. “I’m no expert, but I think the facts are pretty contrary to this.”
What [feminism] means to me is that you don’t let your gender define who you are — you can be who you want to be,” he said, adding that he believes, “If everyone has a fair chance to be what they want to be and do what they want to do, it’s better for everyone.”
“A lot of people who don’t identify with that word feel like that word is somehow against motherhood,” he said in the video. “Personally, I don’t take it that way. For me as a feminist, it should be up to the woman to decide if she wants to be a mom … if that’s what she wants to do full time, that’s awesome, that’s what my mom did. But if she wants to go out and have a career apart from being a mom, then she should be able to do that as well, and that’s to the benefit of everybody.”
He’s got a hawks eye for outfits too.
# Ian Somerhalder:
He’s an actor and the Co-Founder of The Ian Somerhalder Foundation, he too is a feminist at his roots.
“ It is beyond important that girls speak up, that they act fearlessly, that they fall in love with the timbre of their powerful voices — but that isn’t the complete solution. The men placed into positions of traditional patriarchal power need a massive shift to correspond with women’s uprising and support this societal shift as a whole. Men need to acknowledge the evolution that comes along with embracing and championing the surge of powerful women worldwide.
When we men learn to celebrate the true and irrefutable power of women, we can then truly celebrate the progress of men.”
# Daniel Radcliff :
A boy wizard, theatre exhibitionist, and now, defender of women.
“Well, I think I’m a feminist, just by the virtue of the fact that I believe in equal rights for everyone.”
# Ryan Gosling
